Whenever I am in stressful situations my face gets really red. I'm not like a red head or anything either. For instance like pictures for prom were a nightmare because my face turns red. What can I do?

Hi Adria. This can be caused by a lack of omega-3 fatty acids in your diet (e.g. fish oils). Omega-3's are anti-inflammatory essential nutrients. Most people consume too few of these important and essential fats. This deficiency can lead to increased inflammatory status of the blood vessels resulting in excessive flushing with only the slightest provocation.

Try some fish oil supplements for 2-3 months (it takes a while to rebuild the body's cellular levels) and see if they help.

Also, be sure to supplement with lots of vitamin C and vitamin E; these are important antioxidants that help the blood vessels as well.
