Most people opt for invisalign because of cosmetic purposes being that they don't want a bunch of metal in their mouth. They are undetectable unless you look really close. The drawback is that you have to wear them 22 hours a day and cannot eat with them in and must brush before putting them back in but other than the drawbacks, they are fantastic! I have had them in for a while and I have noticed a difference. My spaces are coming together and my overbite is diminishing. My smile is getting better as the days progress. Not everyone is a candidate for invisalign though. You should get a free consultation and ask your ortho any questions that you may have. Also, they are more expensive because of the undetectability and ease. Maybe between a $1,000 to $2,000 difference. Good luck!

Invisalign doesn't help if your teeth are really messed up. I mean.. it will help. But it won't give you nearly great results as regular metal braces would. So if your teeth are crooked, have an over bite, or your teeth need to be expanded, I wouldn't go with invisalign. But if your teeth need slight adjusting, invisalign works great.

Invisalign works great. But it is not for severe cases.

its really for people who have minor dental problems. It's not going to give you the same results as braces. It depends on your situation.
