Au contraire. There are, however, many people too lazy to investigate their own delusions and continue to believe in a god.

I completely disagree. Consciously rejecting the idea of God isn't an easy thing. Whether you agree with that conclusion or not, it generally requires a lot of thinking and contemplation to arrive at that decision. Atheists don't just wake up one morning and say "OK, I don't believe in God now"; in many cases they think about it and study the subject for years and years. Again, if you disagree with the atheists' conclusion, that's one thing, but to call them lazy is pretty unfair.

Atheist love feeling attacked, geez. Take the question more literal all you who just read want you wanted and reacted as though you were being burned at the stake for heresy; yes, SOME people ARE too lazy to believe. This does not apply to someone who uses thought, rationale, and contemplation to arrive at a conclusion about one's own beliefs. This applies to the scores of individuals who, if being truthful with themselves, could say they are believers but are afraid of the reps inability that entails. There are people who "believe there's something out there but I'm not sure exactly what". These are the same people who get married in churches, commit their loves ones to death in churches, and subconsciously say things like "oh, my God". What is the point of all this? There are people risking eternal damnation, and in their hearts they feel this, because they are simply too lazy to get up a little earlier on a Sunday, or to commit to something that's not about them at its center. It's "easier" because being a non believer relinquishes said person of any cosmic responsibility to be thankful or submissive to one greater than yourself. In conclusion; good for you if in your death bed you stand by your atheist convictions, but something tells me that a vast majority of these individuals may have a sudden change over of heart once eternity is knocking at the door..

Maybe, if they have never examined their beliefs and have no real opinion. Yet I think many atheists have taken a hard look at religion and said "I don't buy it." Nothing lazy about it. In fact, I think many religious people (not all, or even necessarily most) are lazy since they just go with what they have been taught as children and do not challenge their beliefs.

You think I am lazy for breaking out of the beliefs that I was surrounded by growing up?
Stronger Minded people have the option to debate, believers don't.

don't think so is it lazy to decide what is right and wrong on your own. Is it lazy to make the right choice of your own decision without any thought of reward.
Or is it lazy to only do whats right due to some idea of a giant father figure threatening to spank you if you don't or bribing you with rewards if you do.

Explain to me, and please try to use some form of logic, any form, how someone not believing in something is a form of laziness. Leave alone the fact that there is no real evidence for the existence of any deities, explain that much to me.

Ah, the old attach-a-completely unconnected-quality-to the viewpoint-of-another canard. As in, "Are some people too fascist to be atheist?" "Are some people just too keen on paedophilia to be atheist?", etc.

I'll tell you what lazy is. It's not taking ANY effort at all to come up with an argument.

Are some people just too lazy to learn what's right and what's wrong on their own? Are some people just too lazy to be kind, moral people without someone telling them too?
