Was she actually diagnosed with bipolar disorder? There are a lot of people who hear about BPD and think that it applies to them, but it doesn't. Simply being sometimes very happy or very sad isn't BPD.

Actually, unlike many people above believe, the term 'BPD' refers to Borderline Personality Disorder. 'BP' would refer to Bi-Polar.

Both are incredibly similar, and overlap, so it's not uncommon for someone to be diagnosed with both BPD and BP.

If you need anyone to talk to about either BPD or BP, feel free to contact me.

bpd= Bipolar disorder. I have a relative with this. She really needs to take meds. Contact a doctor for evaluation.

I am currently living with someone suffering from Bi-polar disorder.

Maybe we can compare notes since they are both people who are close to you and I.

I am sure you have some unique circumstances that we both have encountered with this disease,

Most people I have spoken to claim many people suffering from BPD are not willing to talk about it and will get defensive.

You can also research other forums such as enotalone, askmehelpdesk, and others.

I'm assuming you mean Borderline Personality Disorder (not bipolar). I don't know what d/o is, but if you're looking for info and forums, try http://www.borderlineuk.co.uk/ or http://www.bpdworld.org/

I also have BPD and would love to help but I don't understand what you mean d/o. Could you clarify this please?
