What one does physically is not important, what he does by his heart even if there is no follow up physical action, is important and that alone is noted by the God.

We all are in search of happiness relentlessly. There can't be a single moment when we do not seek happiness. We sleep because we want to be happy, we wake up because we want to be happy. It is the happiness which is our desire and keeping us occupied all the times. We may appear to be unhappy sometimes but the desire is always to be happy.

So this man who is committing suicide is no different than those who are not. The actions seem to be opposite, but the desire to be happy is inherent always.

It is a different matter altogether that we don't know where that happiness is and how to find it. Therefore we are always unsatisfied.

If and when we know, what happiness is all about, we will not say that this path is to the hell and that path is to the heaven.

First of all, I dont believe in heaven or hell.

But i do think that some people "dont have a choice" in that they are very depressed and unfortunately have no one and nothing to help them. They get in way too deep and feel like it is their only way out. It is very sad.

I feel like others are just very cowardly and kill themselves b/c they dont want to face what the earth is going to present them with in terms of struggle.

Suicide should never be an answer.

Depends on the situation...if it's some prep who kills themselves because "Steve-o" didn't take them to the prom...I don't believe in Hell but I think it's a stupid reason for it...NOW if you have a kid who has been abused their entire life, been raped a lot of times, and has to deal with horrible parents, and they kill themselves...then I don't blame them one bit. I still think that they should get themselves help but I would think that they would think that is their only option. Now as for Chrisitans, if someone is in that situation that I outlined above, and they STILL think that they will go to Hell...shame on them because tghey don't know the situation...but....no I don't think that they will be condemned.

no, lest we only look to the tragic death of Samson. Suicide can often be caused by mental illnesses including depression, so no I don't think someone will go to hell for an illness.

No. God promises never to dish out more than you can handle. He clearly dropped the ball on those who commit suicide. Why should they go to hell for that?

No. I feel so sad for people if they feel so hurt, scared, or overwhelmed that they take their own life. I know two people who have killed themselves due to mental illness, alcoholism, and having a lot of life problems. I think they suffered enough here on earth.

All life involves suffering at some stage---some can't take it--& make a permanent decision to end a temporary mental state--to then suggest they be punished eternally is barbarically cruel.

Generally not. But it depends on how crazy the person was when they killed themselves, or how selfishly calculating their act was.

P.S. I believe that "hell" is NOT an eternal state... but a temporary period of torment until the sins have been resolved. However, it is somewhat difficult to make amends for taking one's own life. (Difficult but not completely impossible.)

No. People commit suicide for different reasons, often feeling overwhelmed. They often don't think about what their death will do to those friends and family around them. I think we need to pity those who commit suicide rather than think they are going to hell.

No I don't think Suicide is a sin that cant be covered by Jesus. Stating that the sacrifice of Jesus isn't enough to cover certain sins is kinda demeaning to Jesus in my opinion.
