I like my guy friend. I'm pretty sure he likes me. He's in a relationship (that's going downhill fast, and I think a breakup isn't too far in the future). I'd most likely regret not trying for a relationship, but I don't want to scare him off. Aside from the obvious "just tell him", what can I do?

Would you give me some feedback on this as sometimes I feel I'm wasting my time as no one seems to gets it? Just email me a yes or no or something.
We are really run by emotions not reason. Scientists in the field and sales advertising people know this. OK, so far. Most people know little about emotions, science says most of us are children emotionally. That's fine unless we need to be mature some times and don't have that option. Doesn't the way the world is run seem childish? Anyway it's crucial and we can easily learn it by studying Emotional Intelligence. Here's some free ebooks. Check out the one called "Emotional Intelligence" a few pages should tell the story. Since EI , EQ, is the best gage of success and happiness in life, taught in large corporations, on employment tests, and used in everything from sports to family counseling, shouldn't a wise person look into it? Anyway, if you do, I promise you will have more appeal than the average bear or person, for that matter, and will have your pick of the best, as EI is almost defined as people skills. I went from unpopular to popular and a million other good things, plus lost 20 excess pounds. How are you going to beat that? Also people don't like negative judgmental people, so using only descriptive positive words you can say anything and still keep it upbeat and make yourself very appealing in a too often negative world. Can you see the value of that alone as the answer? Think it through. How would you talk to him them? If you're all positive and light and his relationship is all negative words, what will be more attractive? I don't mean all gushy, just no negative thought or word. Ooh, I like you better. Oh let me give you this other site too. It has three short pages to read for a new attitude.
