Ugh, worst idea in the world. Most people who are in prison end up back in prison at another time in their lives. Why would anyone want that?

You really have to make that decision for yourself. You should know why they are in prison, but most won't tell the truth about that. I knew a guy who was in for child rape but told people he was in for a robbery. Also you should be aware of how things could be when they get out. You may want to agree to being a pen pal and just exchange letters. Friends are ok, but I would strongly caution against the romantic involvement.

Most guys in prison are there because they are cons. They do have web sites and they try to get women to sent them money. They can get quite a bit of money put on their books and be the big man on campus. It is just a racket , the more girls the more money. People that are very lonely and have no self esteem usually are the eary targets.

I happen to know two women who did *just that*, and neither "relationship" worked out. All it turned out to be was heartache and lies on my friends' parts.

I, myself, would NEVER involve myself with a guy like that cause it's just ASKING to be hurt and taken advantage of.

depends on the crime, from killing someone to shoplifting. Really, some people really deserve a second chance.
