It's where I'm still a virgin, but I am giving birth to a child. Sometimes it is a boy & sometimes it is a girl. The birth is always quick & painless & the baby seems to "slip" out. I am just a 16-year-old student, so I know that in real life my parents would be very dissappointed in me for having a baby at such a young age, but it the dream, all of my family, even my relatives are happy for me & they throw a baby shower for me. Another thing that is wierd is that I am a caramel skinned-hispanic-asian, but when my baby is born, it is always light-skinned with big blue eyes & either blonde, or light orange hair. I even remembered that one time I had the dream, it was a girl, & I named her Aaliyah Mia. I would never name my kid that in real life. I've been having this dream on & off for about 3 years, but especially in the last few months. What could it mean?

Hi,
You are in luck because I had to do a reasearch paper on Dreams and Dream Interpertation just last year so im an expert on it. First of all dreams are your sub-consciences way of communicating to you, sometimes they tell you what you want to do and sometimes they tell you what to do, but either way it is telling u what u really think deep down inside. So in this case u r having a baby, the question u should ask urself is Do you want a baby, or do u want to have sex, (since to have a baby u need sex), then also it could be the total opposite and your sub-conscience is just putting u in a situation it knows u dont want to be in but it wants to see how you would handel it. Anyway ur parent part is saying that since u think ur parents wouldnt like it, you really want them to so it is a what-if part of the dream. The part with the light skin could be who u married or want to marry. is your boyfriend light skined and has some of the same features as the 'baby' if not this could just be an enexplaniable part. The part of the baby name is just your sub-conscience again putting u in a situation u dont want to be in. Lastly, if you have been having a dream over and over again it is really important and your sub-conscience wants to make sure u get it, and since u r having it over and over again it means u havent gotten the right answer yet. and once u do finally get the right answer u will stop having this dream. also u can know if this is the right explanation by if right after you comprehend this u might have a sigh of relief or a chill. Anyway hope this helps and is the right answer. Here u can look up any dream u want in this book: "The Complete Dream Book" By Gillian Holloway. (It is the book i used for my report.)

To interpret dreams I need to know a bit more about your subconcious thoughts, so I would need to know a bit more about your background - I've read Freud's Interpretation of Dreams and I understand how they work. I'm 17 by the way so just a year older !
For your dream I would say the dream shows you are confused about your surrounding family's expectations of you and their expectations in the future - when you come to become pregnant. Whether they want you to marry this type of guy, or have this type of kid, or follow this type of career, job, college path etc.
On the contrary . . having a kid, becoming pregnant for a woman who's so young is one of the most embarassing things she could do in front of her family. Them throwing this shower for you could be your subconcious telling you how much you will be loved by your parents no matter what happens. Your parents would be dissapointed in real life but they would still love you.
The blue eyes + blonde hair could signify your family will love anything as long as it is family. It doesn't have to look the same. It could also mean you were thinking that day - what if I had a baby like this?
You name her Aaliyah Mia - again same thing, you name her a rubbish name (you wouldnt want to name her) but she is still loved.
The dream is telling you you are confused about your relationship with your family and parents on the outside and they can be quite pushy at times, but underneath you know they love you to bits and will love you no matter what - or atleast you are hoping that.

It's possible that your subconsouis wants this. Or it could be somthing that might happen. Also dreams are things that are compiled from things in your mind which leads to my first guest. The best thing for you do is to tell your parents then talk to a speacilst. I'm not saying your crazy but they can give a more in depth answear and annylias hope things work out for you! (cogratulations if it does happen lol ;))

I think it is a recurrent dream, an interesting fact, and you should not invest any more into it.
First, dreams are usually periods of time when parts of our brain are at rest and parts of our brain are still active. The rationale part that thinks and judges and discriminates (picks and choose what we think and how those thoughts proceed) is at rest. The part of our brain that processes thought and remembers things is still active. Dreams are ways of rehashing thoughts to process them and integrate them into memory.
One way that memories are processed and stored into memory (long-term memory) is to associate them and integrate them with previously store memories. Without the rational part of our brain, these associations can occur randomly and can have strange effects resulting in strange dreams.
Memory is composed of several functions. One is retention, the storage of memories (long-term memory). Another is retrieval, getting memories from storage into "consciousness". We are not aware, or conscious, pf all our memories all the time. We can only be conscious of some memories at any one time. In dreams we may retrieve memories we have not remembered in a long time and they get associated with newer thoughts as a means of storing them.
We dream four to eight times a night depending on how many sleep cycles we have. Drugs can disturb the sleep cycle to some degree, but each is different. Most people do not remember their dreams; some people do. When we wake up in the morning, it is usually just after a dream, so most people who remember dreams remember the ones just before they awaken. People who wake up often at night are likely to remember more dreams, if they have a tendency to remember dreams. Most people lose their dreams in the act of waking up and restoring their consciousness to the immediate present.
