Ok, let's say the Christian bitten was Jesus during his second coming. Comes in, oh, lets say a young female body and hasn't yet 'exposed' who he is. ..planned to do it when he was 33 yrs. old. He's bitten and his soul is supposed to return to heaven but....................because he is who he is, his soul remains in the bitten body and the battle ensues. Does he bless a lake and go for a swim while he presses a cross to his forhead, thus departing the demon, only for it to possess another Christian with less power, lets say the Pope. Is his holy water and cross as powerful as Jesus's? Say Jesus comes to save him but the vampire demon possesses a lesser Christian - lets just go on down the line. Does he keep chasing the vampire demon out? Or does he invite it back in to his body and...............bible thump it into the kingdom? If so, then there can be vampires in heaven.
The climax? "How come this holy water isn't working????
LOL I just crack myself up!!
This is a comedy, right?

Alrighty then... some interesting answers. However, I'd like to take a stab at this, no pun intended. ;) First of all, you can't look at the "Hollywood" version of Vampires. Yes, a vampire can still retain it's religious beliefs but perhaps over a period of time, say a hundred years or so, the religious views will change if Jesus doesn't "save" them in their mind. The cross and holy water don't work on vampires, only demons. Vampires die by decapitating them, plain and simple. The stake to the chest, whether it be wood or metal, only paralyzes. Sunlight would kill, but you'd have to paralyze the vampire to make sure the sunlight turns their bones to dust. Garlic does nothing but spice up tomato sauce for Italian cooking. Holy water gives them something to drink and a cross just gives them something to turn around and stab you with, should they so desire. I see what you are saying here though. By refraining from the instinctual needs of a vampire, the person would not commit a sin. Therefore it is quite possible they would go to heaven if they refrain from other sins as well or at least ask for absolution for the ones they did commit. Taking a life, though, is something you just don't do in the eyes of God unless of course it is an animal and you are trying to survive. Vampires could live on rats and small animals if it came down to it. But taking the life of a fellow human being would be unforgiveable in the eyes of God. If killing animals to survive was equal, we're all doomed.

Yes, very interesting paradox. It would make a nice story. Maybe ill write it.
There is actually a Christianm vampire in folklore - the Strigoni Benifici, meaning good vampire. They werent bit while Christian, but they repent after there (un)death and kill other vampires. From repenting, they gain immunity to such standard weaknesses as crosses, Holy Water, and euchrist wafers.
I suppose if a Christian was bit, they would come back as a Strigoni Benifici. Yet, a vampire would die out without human blood. So Strigoni Benifici get theres by killin other vampires and getting there blood.
At least thats my theory.
note - I dont know if a Strig. Ben. would go to hevean when they were killed becasue there commonly supposed to not have souls. Perhaps Christianization gives them souls?

Actually, a Christian vampire that did not take a life would be committing a sin. The sin is in the drinking of blood which is forbidden in Leviticus 17:10 and Acts 21:25. The Jehovahs Witnesses take this prohibition so seriously they won't even accept blood transfusions.

Since neither vampires nor heaven really exists, I guess we'll never know. However, for the sake of the spirit of the question, I'll stretch my imagination for a moment ...
According to some fiction, when a person becomes a vampire, their soul dies and an evil, demonic entity takes its place inside the person's body. So if a christian was bitten and turned by a vampire, their soul would most likely go to heaven and a demon would be running around wearing their clothes ... so to speak.

Actually, in the real history of vampire folklore, the way it works is when the person is bitten by a vampire, it is a demon that enters the body and makes it become a vampire. A "vampire" is really a possessed corpse. The original person themself is not a "vampire". So if the person then had a "soul", then that "soul" has nothing to do with the vampire. It's the person's "soul" that would go to heaven, not the vampire.

You have been watching too many episodes of "Buffy the Vampire slayer" eh?
Vampires do not exist. Therefore you have no relevant theory.
However, you do have good material to write in interesting fictional book.
Playing your game though, if a christian was bit, and he bit another, and that third party killed another, and it was because of him.,Or if he even killed someone, or turned someone else into a vampire, he would still be admitted into heaven due to the law of forgiveness if he repented and did not change his faith and he would be made whole again (back to normal) and not be a vampire in heaven.

So far, there haven't been any vampires around...well not to my knowledge..but I understand what you're saying.
But from what I've learned about vampires, they're all immortal, so it would be impossible for a vampire to be in heaven OR hell, since they'd never die.

And to make things even more twisted, a vampire slayer who'd kill that particular sinless vampire will end up in hell for being a murderer.
go figure.
