Physical Changes in a Pregnant Cat

Heat Cycles Cease: This will be the first sign you may notice. If your female cat has been suffering heat cycles every 10 days to two weeks, and suddenly stops, it is very likely she is pregnant.

Nipples Swell and Become Rosier in Color: Breeders call this "pinking," and it may be the first physical sign you will see.

Increased Appetite: Your pregnant cat will show an increased interest in food.

If she is:
-over 4 months
-not spayed and
-you let her outdoors or near an unneutered male indoors

then chances are she's pregnant. You can spay her even though she is pregnant, but it is riskier and costs more.

She can get pregnant again while she is nursing the babies still.

You are part of the pet overpopulation problem. Millions of animals die each year because there aren't enough homes for them. A huge percentage of these are cats. Please get advice from your vet about when to have her spayed. and get it done ASAP.
