I don't know of any, sorry!

My son started getting ear infections at around 7 months old and b/c they seemed to increase in frequency, they ended up putting tubes in his ears at 1 year old (best thing ever!). I'm not recommending those for an occasional ear ache, just letting you know I've been through this many, many times. I never could find a home remedy that helped though. His doctor did prescribe him some drops at one point (before the tubes) that numbed his ear drums, those things were a life saver!!!! Maybe his pediatrician can prescribe him some?

Not sure if it actually helps or hurts but my parents used to put alcohol in our ears for swimmers ear; it always helped them feel better.

Earaches, being one among the common complaints during childhood, are also the easiest to cure with natural home and herbal remedies.

One remedy is to use garlic oil as ear drops. This can be made by crushing a garlic bulb in a small jar and then filling the jar with olive oil and allowing it to stay. In cases of emergency, it can be used after half an hour, else, can be made to sit for a day or more. When required, the oil can be warmed a little more than the room temperature, and can be applied to the affected ear by using a dropper. Plug the ear with a cotton ball. This can be applied several times a day.

My mama used to warm olive oil in a teaspoon and drip it in my ear, then plug it with cotton, and let me lie with my ear on a heating pad. It seemed to help, but my memory is pretty shakey on whether it did or not. I think at that age, just having mommy "do something" is comfort enough. Caution! Don't get that oil hot! Just warm.

Warm sweet oil directly into the ear canal--followed by a cotton ball will soothe, but he needs to see a doctor--he probably needs an antibiotic.

I wouldn't trust home remedies. Take your one year old to the doctor.

If you smoke, blow a few puffs gently into his ear, then plug with a cotton ball. It's the heat, more than the smoke that helps the ear. Old fashioned but sometimes eases the pain.
