We need His word now more than ever before. It's the bread of life, by it we are nourished. Without it (the sword of the spirit), we are without our best form of defense and without the very source of life, God's word, Jesus.

Mat 4:4
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (KJV)

Joh 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (KJV)

Joh 1:1-2
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God. (KJV)

Hello, is it a sin "not to eat breakfast?" how about not eating for a whole week? This a sin? sin Def; when you know you should do good, and refuse to do it, or neglect to do it, but which is greater? reading, or helping your friend? I go by my "heart" i have found it's a lot better that way. And, you don't have to put up with the which is the worst sin or least. OH,about "eating," there are lots of people who do not have food to eat, and they "know that they should eat, therefore, are they sinning because they do not have food to eat and are starving to death?" So, if you are busy helping a friend who is in need of you, or studying for school to make the grade, or simply taking a break, God does not understand? You think about this OK?...lol...lol......

Why would it be a sin? Until 400 years ago most homes did not have a Bible, Most common people could not read.

No. But why wouldn't you want to learn things for yourself? You should read every history, science and holy book you can get your hands on. You have a much richer life when you base your beliefs on self acquired knowledge rather than what a man behind a pulpit has told you is the truth.

The words for salvation are one paragraph. in the whole bible..

The laws of our eternal judgement are not to do or practice this list..

Jesus will return to judge, ask a Christian that and they do not know what you are talking about

Looking for the good of others and things.

Truth in our lives, a search for, and to tell truth for good.

righteousness to others.

Is to accept and do the spirit of Christ..

and the above words are a life time study, not a life time of reading..

Do the above and you are the living bible..

The hardest command to do is to confess Christ.

And that is not His name, His Spirit..

and to do this you must stand against evil done to others and things..

evil = undo/overdone loss of any ones, physical, material, emotional, spiritual well being for my gain, non gain, groups or organizations

The bible is the word of God. It is His voice. We hear his voice by studying His word, listening to it preached, and by how He affects our lives. Why would a Christian NOT want to grow in his relationship with God by not reading His word?

I've read it twice. Guess I'm safe. You are only doing yourself a disservice if you are not fully informed. It's a sin to NOT expand your knowledge.
