I guess you'll have to get out your PS3 and find out, because I couldn't care less.

Battle # 1 - Spartans
# 2 - English Knights
#3 - Spartans
#4 - Romans
#5 - English Knights
#6 - Ninjas
#7 - Spartans
#8 - English Knights

Battle #2 was the hardest choice because the Romans were easily the best military force of their time, but knights became staples in combat well after the fall of Rome. Rome's tactics were designed for barbarians who most likely wouldn't have loads of horses at their disposal, hence the heavy Roman infantry was the key part of their army. Who knows, if knights had existed during Roman times, Rome would've adapted it's strategy to suit the needs, if not employ hundreds of knights themselves. But if an army of English Knights had suddenly appeared in front of a Roman legion..the knights would probably take the victory..but it would still be a close fight mainly because of Rome's advantage in numbers and discipline.

Oh and nothing can beat Spartans, that's a given.
