Isn't Everybody Brainwashed?
Really...we all believe things that people tell us, don't we? We all do things to conform to society, don't we?
I'm brainwashed to believe that I must maintain a healthy weight, wear makeup, wash my clothes, hold a job, pay my taxes and on and on....
I'm also brainwashed to believe that it isn't up to be to judge another human being, that's God's job. I'm not the Creator. I'm unqualified to judge anyone else. I was made to love my fellow man rather than judge any of them.
You're right, Jesus is love. I respect Jesus. Through him, I learned to love my fellow brethren whether or not they are gay, or Christian, or Pagan, or agree with my model of life.
Everyone is brainwashed. You can take the lessons that you learn and do whatever you want with it. Any Christian who claims to love Jesus by hurting others really missed the lesson.

I was in the San Francisco Zoo one fine day last spring and it was apparently mating season.
I saw monkeys fornicating in both heterosexual and homosexual combinations. I saw female animals rubbing up against one another. One pair of male lions seemd to lack a female partner, so they were having quite a time with one another.
I don't think this was activity that the animals learned from the denizens of San Francisco.
