Illegal aliens and their supports called for a boycott last week on all merchants in Prince Wm. Co, VA due to the county's decision to deny illegal aliens services. Many of us made a POINT of shopping in Prince Wm. I took carloads of teenagers to the two major malls there for all day shopping sprees each and every day.

Apparently, our efforts were a BIG success. Even though Prince Wm's illegal community is expansive --- their impact was "minimal" (to say the least). Good job everyone! Read the article and celebrate! http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/08/30/AR2007083002069.html
(Even the Washington Post couldn't bring this victory down! LOL)

I'm particularly proud of the teens. They were willing to travel over 2 hours each way to support the county. Loudon is going to be next, it appears.

We drove up from Princess Anne, we even picked up some home improvement supplies for our business while we were there (good prices), dropped a bundle of cash on Prince William.

We went to the mall, got called a couple of names myself, I even wore my help save Manassas tshirt..... very enjoyable.

Since I'm in California, I was unaware... our liberal media supports the illegals.

I'd LOVE to support such a counter-movement though!! I make every effort possible to NOT buy China (PRC), and I have reported every illegal I see.

Bravo Prince William County !!

hmm okay so you took teenagers on shopping sprees? wow either you are very wealthy to have enough money to take them on shopping sprees or are lying. And in regards to boycotting I personally do not believe it works for either side. I'm still waiting on the boycott that a lot of anti's said they were going to make on make on Pizza Patron and Miller beer (don't know if that is the correct one or not though). But i you want to take pride in what you believe is a victory then you are more than in your right to do so.Yay to you!

A boycott does not last one day, it is an on going process, the grape and lettuce boycott lasted years, I still do not buy grapes and it has been decades since the boycott was over. do not count your chickens before they hatch, unless you are willing to make that 4 hour round trip every time you go shopping.

I was several states away. I do plan to purchase on Sept 12, the day being touted as a national boycott day by those who organized the initial marches, however. For the guy who says it only hurts our wallets, since the boycotters are only 'shifting' their own purchases, 'shifting' ours isn't a greater impact on us. We just change when we will buy things, as do they.

Thank you for being such a great soldier. If more of us band together like this, we CAN defeat the cockroach lawbreakers.

""It was difficult to tell how effective the boycott has been so far, because there was no way to count absent shoppers at county mega-stores.""

From what I get from Washington Times articles like the quote above, is that no one knows yet how it has affected big mega-stores. And for the people like you going out there and buying in bulks, this strike has definitely hit YOUR pocket, or else why the shopping sprees? Buying things you and the teenagers probably didn't need has only hurt your wallet.
