I am starting a teen magazine with some of my friends. It is going to have the fashion and beauty and all of that, but I want to put a lot of emphasis on art, music, books, and other creative or intellectual topics. I also plan to have a lot about health and the environment. I would love to have some ideas for articles. What would you want to read about in a magazine? What are some bands maybe that you would like 2 see reviewed? Health questions you may have? Anything at all that would interest you, please tell me!!!

p.s there will also be a website with all of the articles, so leave your email if u want me 2 contact you with the website when it gets published.

What or Who is your target audience? What age range?

Since this is the General - Food & Drink forum...
For teens, I would think a good article would be about the "Energy" drinks. Are they effective, addictive, healthy, best tasting? etc.

Pros and Cons of going vegetarian.

How to cook Top Ramen?... lol... (j/k)

A lot of people already said what I was going to say. Vegetarian versus eating meat. Pro's and con's. How to get the protein and vitamin replacement if you are a vegetarian. Recipes. How meat supposedly stays stuck in your colon for a long time and doesn't digest well. Research that. The bad effects of alcohol and drugs on your brain and body organs.
Good luck with your endeavor :)

Maybe review new cook books and diet books and answer questions about health that young women will really relate to like calcium being important for bones, not drinking too much caffeine, menstrual products, etc. Writing articles about other teen artists would be pretty cool too.

I have teenage sons and their interests seem to be focused on:

Girls

Other teens (how are they living their lives, and their interests)

Music and the toys that let you listen to music

Sports (...and the activities that help teens do well in sports - - such as diets, workouts, diet supplements, etc.)

Clothes - - what are the trends, styles, type of clothes other teens are wearing.

Cars - - How can a teen take a junky car and turn it into one that is "cool" on a low budget.
