The difference between Vanilla and French Vanilla Ice Cream?

Vanilla is Vanilla. The difference is French Vanilla Ice Cream as compared to Vanilla Ice Cream. French Vanilla Ice Cream is smoother and the recipe is slightly different from normal Vanilla Ice Cream. That is where your confusion arises. Both get the flavour from Vanilla. Its like saying Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream and then asking what the difference is between Homemade Vanilla and Vanilla - get it?? :)
