i bought it over the internet from comet and i kept the instruction manuals but threw the box away and we cant find the receet will i be able to take it back into the store and ask them to replace/restore it?

If it has been damaged by abuse - dropping it, geting it wet, getting sand in it - no warranty will cover repairs. Take it back and they can send it in for an estimate. Its likely repairs will cost more than a new camera. While you wait for the estimate you can begin shopping for a new camera.

unless someone on ebay wants to buya broken camera.
which is really dumb
dont sell it on ebay
throw it away
unless you got warrenty
