Yes. they are standers that they have to follow and if they make inappropriate remarks it does not matter if they are married or not. But if they are married and are having relations with some one it is adultery and they can be punished under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

As long as you were a qualified app, and the recruiter documented your visit then yes they could get in some serious trouble. Being married or single makes no difference if they have done something unethical and it can be proven they get be in a real mess. I was a Navy recruiter back in the early 90's and I made it a point to stay away from trouble I saw many guys get caught up in playing around so watch your self.

No military recruiter may become involved with a potential recruit. PERIOD!

If you are not an applicant then and YOU also participate in the "involvement", then it is just what it is...an "involvement".

Many married recruiters have gotten in trouble. Check the UCMJ on regs regarding sexual behavior and adultery.

"Inappropriate remarks" are subjective. What you think is inappropriate, may be harmless to someone else. You best be damn sure of your allegations BEFORE you start down that road.

Sending "referrals"? There is no law against a civilian sending referrals to a recruiter. I sense something beyond your words though. IF you are suggesting there is some sort of payoff for the referrals such as "attention" or a "trist". Again I caution you to have ALL FACTS in place before you make official accusations. You will be messing with someone's career. Most don't take to that well.

If this is vindictiveness because of something that happened, think twice before you go rattling off to the command. You may (or whomever it is) think revenge is sweet, but it WILL come back and bite you in the backside as well.

There are no innocents in a relationship. Takes 2 to tango.

I am not defending a recruiter for bad behavior. I am simply telling you, there are 2 sides to every story. Men (women too) can be very foolish and they make stupid mistakes. Ten years from now is the vengence going to have been worth it?

We all have to live with our conscience. If we participated in bad behavior, it makes us equally guilty. Think wisely before you take action.

True on all counts. It's fraternization if you are attempting to join the military. It's still harassment if you aren't and don't want the advances. Speak to the chain of command, or a civilian police officer.

Recruiter misconduct includes sexual harassment of applicants. If you're not an applicant, I'm not sure the same rules apply. Your best course of action might simply be to cease contact with the recruiter. They don't need your help with referrals. Staying in touch with the recruiter if you're not an applicant is sending mixed signals.

According to about.com, you can write the following addresses, depending on the service, with complaints about recruiter conduct. Good luck.

I would avoid this person. Sounds like a jerk. I'm sure if you had a lawyer you could sue, but going against the government isn't the best idea unless you have hardcore proof and and a lot of money. It's not right that he is doing that, but I don't know how successfull you'd be if you fought it. Just stay away, unless he's touched you or something. Then call the cops.

Yes, military recruiters are required to act with the same integrity as all members of the military. A married recruiter making inappropriate comments to people like you is a disgrace to his uniform, I urge you to report his actions to his superiors, that type of thing disgusts me...

That is very true, except the part about you not able to enlist, but sending them referrals...I am unsure of that. The fact that they are in the military and are married....infidelity can get you in deep ca ca with the UCMJ (uniform code of military justice). It sounds like a bad situation. I would go AWOL.

Yes. Report it to his recruiting squadron and they'll take it from there. They do NOT want unprofessional recruiters out there representing them.
