"bendecir" is an irregular verb that's conjugated like "decir".

Digo - bendigo
dices - bendices
dice - bendice
decimos - bendecimos
decís - bendecís
dicen - bendicen.

Not only verbs ending in -ir are irregular. Some verbs ending in -ar and -er are ALSO irregular. You just must try to memorize them.

There are regular -ir verbs like partir:

indicativo
(indicative)
presente imperfecto pretérito futuro
(present) (imperfect) indefinido (future)
(past simple)

parto partía partí partiré
partes partías partiste partirás
parte partía partió partirá
partimos partíamos partimos partiremos
partis partíais partisteis partiréis
parten partían partieron partirán

The are irregular forms in -ar and -er, too - tener, hacer, conocer.

well as in many other languages irregular verbs do exist.... I have no idea if there is a rational explanation to that...
