Why do you ask this question? Why do you need examples of Christian suffering? There is not a point in human history, nor indeed a place in the human world, that can reliably sustain people of differing beliefs. Two people can believe differently and still get along, yes. But in the long run, if they cannot resolve their differences, then the differences will become arguments. Arguments that are not settled will become wedges. Wedges will become walls that divide and separate. Unless those walls are torn down, they will become barriers that will keep people from communicating. Once communication stops, any source of contention will become a reason for hostility and persecution. Muslims will persecute Christians. Christians will persecute Jews. Jews will persecute Muslims. And the cycle will keep spinning faster and faster with every person who takes a turn.
Don't worry about who has done what to whom. Organized persecution has been going on for millenia. My church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has suffered more from Christians than any other Christian denomination has suffered at anyone else's hands. Our founder was martyred for the cause of Christianity. I'm not talking about Joseph Smith, I'm talking about the founder of our church, Jesus Christ himself. His own apostle, Judas Iscariot, turned him over to his enemies. Since that day, Christians have been their own worst enemies. If you want specific examples, go to a library.

Well non personally Christian missonaries are still being bruttally killed all over the world. There was one not to long ago about three months, who was invited to speak the word, and ended up being kidnaped, tortured and murdered. There are still christian killings all over.
As for more around here.
Persecution in American life is less hurting but more mental hurtting, I myself have been attacked for my Faith, called ignorant, because I can't believe that there is no God. Been called an idiot. Many other vulgar cuss words too. It is never physically hurtful but it does hurt in the sence that they are inssulting God, and I hate that.
So hope this helps.

North Korea has sent some 50 thousand Christians to concentration camps, while in China some 40 thousand have suffered the same fate. The report also notes the increasing difficulties facing Palestinian Christians due to the progressive radicalization of the Islamic masses in the Middle East

I live in the United States. Someone of my denomination, Mitt Romney, is getting a religious challenge to stop his run for President. The Constitution says there will be no religious test.

The first documented case of imperially-supervised persecution of the Christians in the Roman Empire begins with Nero (37-68). In 64 A.D., a great fire broke out in Rome, destroying portions of the city and economically devastating the Roman population. Nero, whose sanity had long been in question, was widely suspected of having intentionally set the fire himself. In his Annals, Tacitus, states that "to get rid of the report, Nero fastened the guilt and inflicted the most exquisite tortures on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace" (Tacit. Annals XV, see Tacitus on Jesus). By implicating the Christians for this massive act of arson, Nero successfully capitalized on the already-existing public suspicion of this religious sect and, it could be argued, exacerbated the hostilities held toward them throughout the Roman Empire.
Forms of execution used by the Romans included systematic murder, crucifixion, and the feeding of Christians to lions and other wild beasts. Tacitus' Annals XV.44 record: "...a vast multitude, were convicted, not so much of the crime of incendiarism as of hatred of the human race. And in their deaths they were made the subjects of sport; for they were wrapped in the hides of wild beasts and torn to pieces by dogs, or nailed to crosses, or set on fire, and when day declined, were burned to serve for nocturnal lights."

People hassling me and trying to get me to quit at work, making rude remarks, dirty looks. Nothing major that I can recall, but I rarely talk about my faith. The people who are really suffering are much better Christians than me.
