No Christians would not be wearing little electric chairs for this reason. That Jesus of 50 years ago would not be the one prophesied in the Bible. The Jesus of Nazareth fulfilled hundreds of prophecies in one lifetime, an astronomically awesome statistical impossibility; but it came true in one man in one lifetime. Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53 are the most recognizable ones.
Jesus Christ changed that weapon of torment into a salvation payment and symbol of grace instead of God's wrath. That's the difference...the meaning changes everything.

50 years after Jesus the symbol was a fish. It was during the reign of Constantine 300 years later that symbol was a cross.
I don't wear a cross. If I did wear something it would be the open tomb.

Jesus probably wouldn't have been seen as anything other than a nutjob if he was around 50 years ago.
Back in the day people were super gullible and wanted "something to believe in" thus made him some huge deal.....
otherwise he'd be put in some sort of asylum.

I'm pretty sure that if Jesus comes back, the LAST thing he's going to want to see is a crucifix.
