One month ago, I was approved for a Lens Crafters' credit card via General Electric Money Bank. I haven't received anything from GEMB, and I am on a 90-day interest free promotion. GEMB's web site is not helpful and phoning their 800 number does not help either. Certainly, within one month I should've received the credit card, payment book and payment instructions. I don't want to wait until my 90-days has expired before making a payment. Has anyone else used GEMB and is familiar with my issues?

I've never had an experience with personal accounts but I've had to deal with GE subsidaries for a lot of business accounts. I've got horror stories soooooo bad, you'd swear no credit company could possibly be that bad.

I spent over 6 months dealing with misapplied payments, only to have them completely undo everything a month later.

Pay 'em off and close the account!

I have also had problems with credit cards from a GE subsidiary. See http://www.my3cents.com/showReview.cgi?id=15954 for someone's opinion (not mine) of GE Money Bank cards.

Even if you do send a payment by mail, they will probably say that it arrived late.

Go to https://www.statementlook.com/fdr_ge.service?TRANTYPE=STMT_SIGNIN&CID=AAAA1041001&PID=STATE. Pay the bill in full online. Make sure make a printout and that your computer puts a date on the printout.

Then close the account.

Even if there was a holiday in there, two weeks is excessive. I'd switch banks
