Don't invite cops or anyone who identifies himself as a cop into your home.
You're waiving your rights if you do. Even if you have nothing to hide, do not invite cops into your house. They have to have a warrant. If they tell you that you HAVE to let them in - they are lying. Cops will lie - they're trained to lie.

No!because he has to have a bonafied reason and probable
cause for wanting to enter your home and push come to shove even a search warrant they just cannot come into ur private domain ok!
That is exactly what I am getting at u have crooks and phonies who dress up as cops so that is another reason u have to be careful as to who is and who is not a cop and if u are not sure call the police department the duty desk commander and ask if a police officer was dispatched to ur residence and why n if u learn no police was sent to ur residence ask them to send the real ones because u have a phony problem at ur door.

First of all, do they have a warrant. If not you do not have to let them in or even talk to them. If you have any drought that you are dealing with anything except the real police, ask for ID and then contact the police station by phone to verify.

They need either a warrant or "exigent circumstances" to force you to let them in. Exigent circumstances are cases where they have both probably cause that there is an ongoing crime or some other situation that needs their attention, and they have a good reason why this situation must be dealt with immediately.

Well, unless they say they have a warrant and are willing to pass it under the door and can identify themselves through a window, or something, they shouldn't be saying "let us in", bur if they are either rapists or are there with a warrant they're going to brake in anyway, so, either way, you're screwed, in a manner of speaking.

the cops cannot come into your house without probable cause or a search warrant. if they ask to enter your residence you are allowed to say no (it's in the constitution). if that's a problem for them tell them to send there supervisor to the location or call the police and confirm their identity.

If they cannot present a warrant nor ID that satisfies you...
keep them outside and call the police- explain what's happening to them.

you can tell them no and request they get a warrant or search warrant. but they can stand there and wait while other officers obtain the search warrant. once they have a warrant they can enter into your home.

I'd ask for ID and ask to see their warrant before I'd EVER let them in.
