Stuart,
I am not assuming your religion has anything to do with Jesus.
We live in a world when we answer certain questions make us who we are. These are only two of them.

Muslim (Submitter) here. First of all, we have full respect to those who believe different than us. Quran teaches that: "There shall be no compulsion in religion". 2:256

As Muslims, we believe in what was revealed by God in the previous scriptures included in the Old and New Testaments. The Final Testament (Quran) confirms and consummates previous scriptures.

Therefore, if we find anything in the previous scriptures which contradicts the Quran, it is "man-made".

The 19th Chapter of the Quran is titled Mary. God has repeatedly addressed Jesus in the Quran as son of Mary.

The Quran, informs us that Jesus was a human messenger of God whose sole mission was to deliver God's message; he never possessed any power, and is now dead (4:171, 5:75, 117).

Regarding Jesus's death, this has been the single most controversial subject in the world. The Quran's miraculous mathematical code has now provided the final answer to this topic:

Jesus' soul was raised, i.e., he was put to death prior to the arrest and crucifixion of his body. Thus, his persecutors arrested, tortured, and crucified an empty body - Jesus was already gone to the world of souls (3:55, 4:157).
They plotted and schemed, but so did God, and God is the best schemer. Thus, God said,
``O Jesus, I am putting you to death, and raising you to Me; I will save you from the disbelievers.'' [ Quran 3:54-55 ]
They claimed that they killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of God! In fact, they never killed him; they never crucified him; they were led to believe that they did. [ Quran 4:157 ]

And finally, Rrgarding Jesus:
Quran[19:33] And peace be upon me the day I was born, the day I die, and the day I get resurrected."

Hope it helps.

Peace.

im an athiest/pagan or whatever labels there are for me

if jesus existed, he was just a normal guy who was either used or used himself as an iconic figure

he certainly wasnt the son of god, by a virgin birth
she was either raped or married young
come on, how many virgin births do you know of (other than all the test tubes etc we are talking 2000 years ago here so they werent avaliable)

we have to procreate, thats how we live, thats what we do
so if any woman was capable of that then im sure there would be more

also why would god pick her to have this baby with, and him to be the baby?
god wouldnt need to have a 'human face',if 'he' was so great ,hed be happy with people being who they are, believing what they want, living how they want,

it could be anyone, and it is, they were just normal people, living their normal lives and got caught up in a religious mess whether their choice or not

he was just an example for the romans to say dont bother messing with us, so they put him on the cross as they did so often to loads of other people, not only jesus suffered that death
that tells me hes not so important

people have made him important because they need something to believe

and i get these views from logical living, reality, freedom of thought and consideration, sociology, psychology and knowledge of history and people

I could write a long post about what I believe, but I think it comes down to that Jesus' message is the only one that makes any sense to me. I don't think eating or not eating certain foods gets you favor with God (judiasism and Islam), I don't think there are blue God's running around with bunches of arms, now or ever (Hindu), and Buddha seems to be a philosopher, not a prophet (Buddhism).
Jesus message is this - love your fellow human being as much as yourself, and treat even your enemies with love and kindness and pray for them. This is the most advanced ethical message ever spoken, and Jesus is the only one to ever have said it.
That's the only way the world will ever have peace - all the other religions have failed due to either revenge-based philosphies (Islam) or blind obedience to political rulers (Shinto).
PS: Don't try to say that Hitler was a Christian because he wasn't - he had very definite, specific plans to eliminate Christianity and replace it with Wagnerian-style paganism and Roman god worship and occultism.

I am an Atheist because there is no "good" reason to believe in a deity. As for Jesus there is no historical evidence that he existed at any time. The only place you can find him is in The Bible which has no real historical value of Jesus. Everything written about him was after he supposedly died. That is a provable fact. Plus Christianity is one of the most plagiarized religions ever created.

I am an atheist, and I believe that Jesus did not exist.

I am an atheist because I did a ton of research on religions and a lot of thinking and asking questions, and the more I learned the less sense it made for there to be a god. I am convinced of atheism because of Occam's Razor, Russel's Teapot, and the argument from prayer (which you can see in my profile).

The reason I believe that Jesus did not exist is that there is no reputable documentation of his existence from contemporary sources, and the bible is not sufficient evidence because it would be begging the question to use it as proof.

I am a polytheist Indopagan. I believe that Jesus was a human being like the rest of us, but possibly became an enlightened master. After his death, he was so beloved and worshiped that he became a god (if you're familiar with the idea of egregores, it's similar to that).

I am an athiest and i believe jesus was basically a good guy that could do some cool illusions, the story of his life has then been twisted by men in power to suit they're own needs, first the romans then scholars through the ages, all creating and adding bits on to gain power of naive and needy people!

Eclectic Neo-Wiccan. I believe Jesus existed and was a child of the Gods as we all are and that he was very in touch with the Divine and very powerful. He was a great teacher and a good man.

I believe in my religion because it connects to me and makes most sense to me. I feel peace with it.

Blessed be!

I'm agnostic - I am totally unsure if GOD is real or not, but I believe that the existence of GOD is entirely possible and live by the rules of GOD.

I believe that if GOD is real, that Jesus is his prophet. I also believe that worshipping Jesus is idolatry and that the idea that a human can be saved solely through faith is ridiculous. The Church says that all people are born evil and that Jesus is the only way to salvation to give themselves power over men in contradiction of GOD's law. If people were loyal to GOD alone and their deeds were what made them worthy of belonging to GOD's kingdom or not, then people would be responsible for their own salvation, instead of putting blind faith in a church run by men.
