I just took my almost 12 week old Cornish Rex for his 1st checkup. He had diarrhea coming home from the breeder and again yesterday. When the vet testing his stool she found those proto's swimming around and gave him an oral .5ML of the antibiotic Metronidazole chicken flavor.
I googled it and to my horror I see it's very dangerous! Help! Now I'm afraid to give it to him! They gave me a syringe and to only measure to the 1/2cc mark and it's to be given twice a day for the next 10 days. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It is not dangerous if given at the correct dosage! It is one of the most commonly used antibiotics for intestinal problems and protozoan parasites in veterinary practice. Don't be afraid to use it!
