because you made them look bad?
daglas69 called me stupid for posting that there was a misinterpretation in the bible when Moses led the exodus....it was mistaken as red sea when it should have been reed sea....he called me stupid for posting that.......so I posted some sources to back up what I said and left him a message in one of his other questions so he could come back to see what I'd replied......I had proven him wrong, so he blocked me. That's weak.
Somebody tell him I said hi ok?
Has anybody had this happen to them?

People don't like to be proved wrong. Especially when they can't back up there source. You don't change their mind. (It's closed) so they just prefer not to deal with you. That way they are not reminded that what they believe is false.

Some passages call this body of water yam suph or "sea of reeds". The Septuagint understood this to refer to the Red Sea, and translated it so. Recent archeological studies have made a case that the Red Sea/Gulf of Suez extended much farther north at times in Egypt's history, and that the two phrases 'sea of reeds' and 'Red Sea' are therefore describing a part of the Red Sea that would have extended north-westward to the Bitter Lakes region.
Geological, oceanographic, and archaeological evidence suggest that the Gulf of Suez stretched further north than it does today and that the southern Bitter Lake extended further south to the point where the two could have actually been connected during the second millennium. This linking may have stood behind the Hebrew naming the lake yam sup as well as the Red Sea to which it was connected.

Yes, this has happened to me many times. Like the first answerer said people do no like to be proved wrong.
Christians mean well, but fail to realize their belief is just that belief without proof, which is okay except they seem to think there is absolute truth and that anyone who does not agree with this is made fun of and ridiculed and that is the only way they can feel good.
They want to believe that the atheist and pagan is the foolish ones and they are the enlightened ones and we do not know anything. It is what they are taught. They do not know any better.
They are taught to believe that their God is the one and only truth and anyone who does not believe is a fool even the bible says as much. Somewhere in Deuteronomy there is a verse that says the Fool says in his heart there is no God.

Heres the link to your question, just trying to help...
Incidentally, I was unaware of that mistranslation as well. I will be looking into it a bit further.
The only people who have called me stupid are the ones who think that theists are idiots in general. I know I'm not the smartest person in the world, but still. Anyway, I won't block people simply because they disagree with me or made a valid argument against something that I have said. I have been on y!a for more than a year and only blocked one person that entire time... for being abusively hateful in general.

I don't think your stupid. Perhaps you just have a need
to be right. Fact is people often disagree over how to
interpret or otherwise understand scripture. Who is to say
your sources, backing up your understanding of scripture,
are right or wrong? All of us need to respect different
viewpoints. There are many different versions of the
Christian Bible, like Amplified, NIV,NLV, XMLNOP .......
It's all Greek to me.

I would say, "you are the victor."
Smile, and know that you have won.
Evil pride is what causes someone to block another, in this case.
