Does your religion tell you that you are now perfect or are you still a sinner even though you've been baptized?

Water baptism is nothing, unless you have first experienced being baptized into Jesus in His death, burial and resurrection by being born again, born of the (Holy) Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ. As Paul said, "the Kingdom of God does not consist in words (or rituals), but in power." (I Corinthians 4:20)
It is through this that we experience an inner change of nature and a cleansing from our sins through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
It is like getting married. First you find a woman, and fall in love. Then you seal the pledge of your faith in marriage.
So with Christ, we receive the love of God by faith, believing in our heart that God sent His Son from heaven to die for our sins, so we might be made children of God, inheriting eternal life, as a free gift. Afterwards we follow by pledging our love and faith towards him in a public declaration, that we are His and He is our God, forever.

We feel that no one should be Baptized until they are old enough to know and for sure they are saved and understand Baptism. Once they are, then they are washed of their sins and new to begin as a love one of Christ, we wish to keep walking in His steps. But we are human and all sin, that is what praying and asking forgiveness is about. We then know He is there to forgive.

The meaning behind baptism is that you knowing accept that when you lay down in the water, you've put your old nature to death and when you rise up from the water, you now take on Christ's nature. From that moment on, you are to make every attempt of live the kind of life Jesus lived as an example while He walked here on earth.

Baptism is an outward sign of a inward commitment to follow Christ. Baptism, of it's self means little if you have not truly accepted Jesus as your Savior. We will never be perfect as long as we are still in these fleshly bodies.

ONCE ONE IS BAPTIZED YOU PAST SINS HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN. BUT YOU CAN CONTINUE TO SIN AND FALL FROM THE GRACE OF GOD. THE NEW TESTAMENT TALKS OF THE LUKEWARM CHRISTIANS THATARE WORSE THAN INFIDELS . WE JUST HAVE TO KEEP PRAYING FOR OUR FORGIVENESS OF WHAT WE MAY HAVE DONE THAT DAY AND KEEP TRYING. NO MAN IS WITHOUT SIN.
Whoops, sorry about the caps.Didn't realize i had them on until I finished.

The LDS Church teaches that at baptism all previous sins are forgiven and you are now clean. After you will sin again, because we are all human. That is what repentance if for.
