i got pulled over yesterday supposedly for following too close and going a little too fast as i pulled off to the side of the road the officer approached me from the passengers, side told me to exit and did all the insruance and drivers license check, i admitted to smoking marijuana and having a pre-rolled joint but i never admitted to having guns and yes they were concealed in a duffel bag and no ammunition.

The officer(s) did not arrest me or book me OR even give me any sort paper work but they did confiscate all my firearms, and now my question is what should i expect? and what should i do?

Did the guns were registered to you?

If they don't then forget about it. Next time you wont be that lucky.

If they do then get a lawyer or report them stolen (if you fear him just say you don't know who stole them) before they show up on a murder case.

The reason you weren't arrested is because the search was illegal assuming you didn't consented to the search of your duffel bag (of course he can always lie and say you gave consent; but now is too late for heim to arrest you)

If you are worried about being arrested don't worry about it, if you weren't arrested at that moment then you wont be arrested now, the officer knows he will be fired for not arresting you on the spot as he was suposed to do.

Something is wrong with this picture. If they confiscate anything, you should have received a receipt stating what was taken. If you had guns anywhere in the passenger compartment, that is illegal in many states without a concealed carry permit.

You're in big trouble...

If he's a crook cop then, ur gun n ammunition are with him... if the guns are registered to you...

Assume someone gets killed... the police want a suspect, they'll plant ur weapon at the crime scene n u becum the suspect... :-)

or say the mafia pops a guy n they want the case closed... they pay this cop who plants ur gun as evidence and the real killers get away and u r in the eye of the storm now... how is this?

man i think i shud start writing some kinda novel ;-)

Presumably you want your firearms back. They were in their rights as officers to confiscate them, even if you were carrying them legally as you admitted to having caused an offence and were driving dangerously. You should get in contact with the local precinct.

Kiss your "firearms" goodbye, and be thankful you're not behind bars, yet...What should you do. Nothing !
