to a group of people (like Atheists) and then block the people that are Atheists? I've had this happen several times now. The majority of these particular peoples questions are to Atheists (or the fabulous term, non-believers), yet I don't get to answer them without creating another account?
What kind of answers do you want if you don't like the ones you get? You're the one asking me a question after all!

I asked this question because I would actually like an answer-particularly from someone who does it. And I don't believe I verbally attack anyone...I may be vehement at times, but for the most part they are calm answers.

People like that only want their opinions and beliefs echoed back to them. They also may think that by directing a question to atheists but then blocking them, they are frustrating you. I really don't understand why people think they will convince someone to believe the way they do. I just say let people be.

In my experience, some of the questions directed at the atheist crowd dont' really seem to actually want a response (kind of like this one) and are more rhetorical than anything, but more use the question as a way to proselytize. When you answer them, and don't give them the answer of "I have seen the light and I shall convert!" then they get upset and block you. OR, your answers could be seen as offensive if worded improperly.

I've had the same experience, in reverse.
I was blocked by several atheists for answering questions directed toward Christians.

The people you refer to are believers, not scientists. Believers really do not care to know the truth. As when they go to church, or to Bible study, believers are hungry for the positive reinforcement they receive when their peers agree with them. That is why believers find the R&S experience so frustrating. Here, everyone is allowed to have their own opinion and many are actually honest enough to openly disagree with a believer's favorite religious propaganda and superstitions. Believers are generally seeking positive reinforcement, not honest answers, and especially not divergent opinions. That is why believers feel particularly justified in blocking those they disagree with. Scientists seldom enjoy the luxury of unqualified positive feedback and those who ignore their critics, know they do so at their own peril.

Nobody can block ALL Atheists, theists, or whoever. Apparently, you p*ssed a few people off, and they blocked YOU.

[edit] Apparently, Yank has blocked me. I have no idea why. The same can probably be said about a LOT of people here.

I've never read any of your previous answers, so I can't say that you do verbally attack people, but if you do then that could be the reason.
As I stated, I don't know how you answer other people's questions, but you do and you know if this may or may not be true.

A lot of times when people do that, they are trying to provoke the group being singled out. I have seen it work in reverse as well. It doesn't make sense and I don't agree with it.

What I've seen are questions posted to atheists, and then as a best answer, they pick someone who agrees with them.

They want to preach to the choir.

(For the record, I'm not an atheist, though I have a few friends who are.)
