If you do not believe in God. Then why do you guys constantly try to refute the bible and disprove God? Sounds like you unbelievers are a little uptight about religion. So far we have evolution.. that didn't work so let's try the big bang. lol

either way you slice it. you cannot disprove God made it happen. Can't you see that you're stuck between a rock and a hard place?

If you do not believe in God. That's fine by me, that is your choice, but why are you unbelievers bringing your hateful comments into a religion section?

Satan is laughing at you.. Saying You fools!!

Okay you said "so many" atheism is in the minority generally but there seems to be a concentration of atheism anywhere religion
is discussed.
So I agree with the remark within your question "why do you guys constantly try to refute the bible and disprove God?"
And wonder myself why someone who doesn't believe in God or who would not go to church would attempt to answer or post a question like; as an example, Is the Pope a Catholic?
I would expect a non-believer to be more likely to answer a question like; as an example, "who are the famous atheist in history?"
Finally, I could say much more but I included a link that everyone should read now and then. And urge Yahoo! to consider the popularity of this discussion and create a different place to do what we are doing here because this is a question and answer not an atheism 101 chat.
Why did god create us?; to know love and serve god. An appropriate answer is not; there is no god you all are fools for reading the bible.
This is a question and answer not a forum. Too bad... it is and has always been soooo much fun for theist and non theist to bash each other on the Internet. We just are not giving reliable answers. In our arguments we are giving them debate.

wishing everyone peace, love and human rights

This is about asking and answering questions. We are here to learn and discover things. If a question about religion seems hateful to you, then deal with it. You can't expect every question to be appealing to you.

I am sorry that I have chosen to question God and religion, and all of those other ridiculous beliefs people like you follow. You can say that doing this is offensive to you, but I could also say that religion offends me. But Im not complaining.

Also, science tries to be as factual as possible, and it makes no room for religion being the reason we exist. There really is no actual proof of one being who is god. Therefore it can be disproved.

I suggest sitting back for a second, and really question whether or not religion is something you should believe in. So many people are relgious just because they were raised that way, or their friends are, but they never question the reasoning behind their beliefs. I could grow up with my parents telling me that I am half hindu (im not) and I could go my whole life thinking that, and not realizing that I actually am not. But if I actually questioned it and looked into it, I would find out that they were wrong.

Its fine if you are religious, just start wondering why there are people who aren't religious. There probably is a good reason behind that, and its not because we are bad or trying to be satanic. Please, think outside of the box for once. Take care.

If you believe in God why do you guys constantly use the Bible to prove God. Sounds like you guys believe everything you read just because you have been told to. You cannot disprove the existence of Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy but does that mean you should automatically believe in their existence. Can't you see that you might have been heavily indoctrinated?

For me, it isn't about disproving a god, per se, as much as it is about disproving faulty teachings about god. Some of the things that you've been taught are outright lies that cause you to say and do some pretty mean things to others. I'm sure if a god does exist it doesn't want you telling people what YOU think it's going to do to them. Please read James 2¦10 to learn why you have no right to say anything about anyone else's life.

Because we must convince people of the fallacy of faith.

One of the fallacies is the ignorance of science. You should try to understand theories like the Big Bang and evolution. And besides, the burden of proof lies on the believer (that's you) to prove to non believers that there is a God.

Religious try to convert, that is their right. We have just as much a right to try to deconvert others.

Sounds like you're a little uptight about the truth.

You can't prove it either and your "Satan" comment is judgmental - which can be considered a hateful comment, which makes you a hypocrite.
Also, we are not refuting the bible as much as we are trying to prove that the bible is not the word of God. We believe the Bible is the words of people who said it is the word of God. There is a huge difference which most bible believers apparently are unable to see.

You're doing the very same thing, but instead you're trying to prove God. Theists can't prove he exists. Atheists can't prove he doesn't exist. If either side could prove it, we'd all convert to that side.

"Satan is laughing at you.. Saying You fools!!"

You're trying to prove God there. Maybe not "prove" him, but you know what I mean.

Why can't we come on here to discuss our spiritual beliefs? We have a right to. Why are you afraid of challenge? And why can't we try to disprove God while people like you shove the Bible down our throats? (This does NOT go out to all Christians! Just to people like you who call us rude while generalizing us all)

Likely for the same reason that many believers try to shove God and religion down their throats.

I believe that they are well intentioned and trying to get believers to see what they believe to be "the light"

EDIT: Athee Starchild VT, I'd have given you two thumbs up if I could have!

I am being told I'm uptight about religion from the person who insists the prophesies in the Bible are coming true... OK then :)

Oh and this is my favorite part:

Because they have that right to try to disprove just as you have the right to believe in a God.
