Nope.
In fact, the British Armed Forces does not recruit anyone with debts unless their theoretical pay is calculated to be enough to pay off those debts within a reasonable time.
Though hypothetically, someone with an acceptable criminal record could hide from debtors in the French Foreign Legion.

They will run a credit check on you when you try to join up. If your dets are to great, they will tell you to come back when your finances are in order. The reason behind this, is when you start your training, you dont get paid to much.
