It could be worms. But doubtful. I had a cat recently that I had rescued that had sort of the same problem except he had poo oozing from his booty all the time. Make sure to get your cat checked for FIV/FeLV since that could be a major problem. The cat I had, had FeLV and I had to put him to sleep since his health was deteriorating. Vet visits can be both cheap and expensive. It just really depends on where you live and what vet you are visiting. The vet usually charges me 12-15 dollars per shot, 10 dollars for a visit, 25 dollars for a blood test (FIV/FeLV), and x-rays run between 50 and a 100 bucks. But that is just for me. Every vet is going to vary depending on state and how much supplies cost.

Kittens can have loose stools, that is pretty common. It can be parasites but it also could be their diet. The vet will take a stool sample and put it under the microscope to look for parasite eggs. If the cat does have some sort of parasite, then you will have to get a medication such as Flagyl to kill the parasites. Shouldn't be too expensive.
Good luck!

well when i got my kitten she had worms but wasnt pooping everywhere. her tummy was really hard and boated. it cost about 3 to 10 dollars for a deworming. if its another form of parasite it may be more.....when i got my cat from the pound she had ear mites, lung infection, and worms so i walked out of there with a $52 bill. it all depends on the clinic and their prices...........good luck

Most kittens have worms - they get them from their mothers. A worming treatment doesn't cost much money.

You'll need to have the kitten treated for fleas as well, because fleas can spread worm eggs.
