This is the kind of announcement that should be left to the team owner and the manugfacturer. Not some smartass kid. I bet Toyota is more pissed than JGR. Second thoughts, who knows. I think they knew going in they were getting into with Shrub. I just think they didin't realize he would be messing up even before he actually starts on the job.

I dont want to jump to conclusions at they may or may not be going to Toyota as the official announcement isnt due until Wednesday and alot of things can happen in a weeks notice. I think that Kyle Busch was going to be the one to spill this but its ironic as he didnt spill any information about him and his whereabouts for next year yet so easily spilled this type of information. Hmm.. I think that this is a stupid move on Gibbs part.

I think Joe will question his decision to hire Kyle many times over his career at JGR. He's such talented driver but he needs to learn when to keep his mouth shut. Tony, Happy, Juan and few more have the same tendencies and that appeals to a larger segement of fans than you would think. Like smokinuracing stated, he certainly didn't tell us anything that wasn't common knowledge to many people already. All these big changes get leaked out before they have a chance to hold the press conference to make it "official". Jayski had this story reported over a month agao but then they started backpeddling at JGR by saying they were just exploring all their options. Yes, they will certainly have 2nd, 3rd and more thoughts about hiring the younger Busch but it won't be because of this incident.

HAHA Mad-mod, thats right. Well, I know JGR has made a big deal of not letting the cat out of the bag, including Friday making a statement that 'no decision has been made yet'. JD Gibbs probably ain't real happy with their new driver right now. But, yeah, they knew how he was. And no, they're not having second thoughts.
Just try to keep a secret in the Nascar garage. Women don't gossip that much!

Gibbs has had to reign in Stewart a bunch of times over the years, including just a few months ago after Daytona. Gibbs obviously knows what makes guys like Stewart and Busch tick, and knows what to say to keep them in line. Besides the rumors were flying around already, it wasn't really that big of a secret.

You have a dozen reporters in your face and not say anything. Tony and Denny may have been told not to say anything, but Kyle might not have been told.
We knew it was coming anyways, so no harm done. Kyle Might have been told to say something too. It is JGR's business anyways. You may never know the truth.

I would hope that Gibbs is, at the very least, up to his 8th or 9th thought about hiring Motormouth. Yes, he has talent, but HMS isn't good enough for him? Whatever.

For the record, I can't stand either of the Busch brothers. I do think we ought to give it a rest though. Last week he was getting ripped for saying "fer say" instead of per say. At 22 years old, I'm not sure any of us can say we didn't do or say anything out of line, dumb or ridiculous. Who knows, he might just be trying to fit in with his new teamates as they both have been known to pop off from ill advised time to ill advised time.

The rumor has been around for weeks, so everyone kinda knew this was gonna happen. When Gibbs canceled his contract with Hall Of Fame, it was inevitable.

Someone needs a muffler.
Ink not even dry on the contract and he shoots his mouth off.
