I just read that if you eat/drink alot of dairy before you are pregnant you are most likely to have a girl. And if you crave dairy while pregnant it will mean it's a girl. Has that happened to any of you?
Also if you eat alot of meat and potatoes you are more likely to conceive a boy? And if you crave meat and potatoes while pregnant its most likely a boy?

THAT SEEMS LIKE ITS PROBALY TRUE IF YOU CRAVE IT. BUT BY EATING CERTAIN THINGS YOU CANT CHANGE THE BABY TO A GIRL OR BOY.

These New Wives tales started when research came out showing that a woman with an acidic vaginal fluid was more likely to have one gender over another. The research is legitimate, but doesn't really hold in non-laboratory conditions. I have never seen a tendency for one gender being born to dairy farmers. They consume a lot of dairy (I had dairy farmers in my extended family)! Same for a rancher, I should think, but a different gender? Do they really have more boys?
Oh, I should add though that midwives generally found that dairy farmer's wives had bigger babies than everybody else, at least before the 80s.

Although I did crave milk like crazy when I was pregnant with my daughter (I could often go through a gallon a day), I don't believe there is any truth behind this theory. Much like the 'string theory' or the idea that carrying the baby high means its one sex, low means the other. True, sometimes it seems like it works according to these ideas, but there has never been any documented medical proof.

Nope I couldn't stand milk before during or after preganncy...Every time I tried to eat or drink anything with milk in it I would puke. I had a girl.
Doing the same thing this time but don't know what I'm having yet.

Both of the ladies previous are 100% correct! And FYI, I wanted nothing with my son, and ton of meat and potatoes with my daughter!

This seems unlikely considering it is the man's sperm that determines the sex of the baby.
