Last week at Bristol, the announcers and the lines say NASCAR Nextel Cup Series at Bristol, instead of race title Sharpie 500, I'm getting tired of them saying NASCAR Nextel Cup Series, because we don't know how many miles they're running, they should say it by the race title

The number doesn't always tell the miles anyway, the Sharpie 500 was 250 miles and 500 laps.

There was 250 miles and 500 laps since it was a short track. Some races have lap numbers and others have distance in miles or even Kilometers. Anyhow, sometimes they say this is the Shapie 500 at Bristol Presented by the Nascar Nextel Cup Series. I dont think thats a big deal. Thats why you look these things up in advance so you know, but at least thats what I do.

I don't see the big deal. And what do you mean you don't know how many miles it is? Just watch the race, and when that checkered flag comes out, it's over. If you want details, do some research. Why do people need everything handed to them on a silver platter?

Because Nextel pays the $$$ and that is all NASCAR really cares about.

Well the series is sponsored by Nextel. I wish it wasn't because I do not like them, but it is. Sharpie is just the individual race sponsor. Big bucks overpower little bucks.

It's because the race sponsor is paying the track and not the network. The networks have gotten to the point where they refuse to say the name of the race unless the race sponsor is paying them too.

She won the vote fair and square the Danica Nation is huge. The only driver that possibly more fans is Dale Jr. And he was already in the race. If they do voting same way next season Danica probably wins fan vote again.

I have a solution. Turn the volume down. That's what I have been doing ever since ESPN took over.
I use to think DW was annoying, I guess I didn't realize it could get worse.

Because the announcers are dumb and dont always know, plus they want the fans who are dumb they want them to know where they are racing at, they get paid to premote the TRACK, they also say the race title quite a bit.

Personally I would much rather know where the race is ,than whom it is being sponsored by.
