It depends on the intent behind the humor. Some humor is meant to be light hearted and funny...I think most people can laugh at this. Some is meant to be offensive and only funny to those who are non-belivers and/or anti-religious. When it hurts and offends someone, it ceases to be funny.

I'm sure that there are enough different people in this world to get upset at just about everything. I'm a Christain but I don't get upset about religious humor. I don't enjoy humor that is profane or in bad taste but it doesn't upset me. I don't enjoy humor that demeans other people either and there I have a challenge about getting upset. But I can laugh at a video like this one that looks at the question "What would Jesus do?" from a Southern Red Neck perspective.

I think it depends on the spirit in which the 'humor' is offered. I don't consider most comics these days as funny anyway. Mostly they're just plain rude. But there IS such a thing as godly humor.

A Priest, a Rabbi, and a Minister were fishing on a lake. Suddenly the Priest got up and announced, "I need to go get some more bait. I'll be right back." He then stepped out of the boat and walked across the lake's surface to shore. Picking up a jar of salmon eggs, he then returned the way he came.
A few minutes later, the Rabbi stood up and announced, "I'm getting hungry. I left my lunch in the car. I'll be right back." He then stepped out of the boat and walked across the lake to shore, where he found his lunch, and returned to the boat.
The Minister watched all of this, and said to himself, "I certainly have as much faith as these two! If they can walk on water, then so can I!" He stood up in the boat and said, "I just need to stretch my legs for a moment." He then stepped out of the boat and plunged into the water. Spluttering as he swam beside the boat, he was the picture of dejection.
Then the priest said to the rabbi, "Do you think we should tell him about the stepping stones?"

On the contrary, Given2fly, I think G-d has a helluva sense of humor, I know that every time I look in the mirror.

Unfortunately, people can't take a joke anymore. I tell jokes on every race, color, religion, etc. Nothing is taboo with me as far as that goes. I am an equal opportunity offender and anyone that knows me, knows this. Still, people tend to get offended, especially at religious jokes. I have actually had people get up from a joke telling circle and leave from one of my jokes - usually a religious or religious stereotype joke.

I'm guessing, and I could be wrong, that there are people who get upset about any comment that makes fun of their chosen religion. All of us are different and we all have different levels of tolerance in regard to humor directed at something we believe in.
Joke: Jesus checked into an Inn - gave them some nails and said" "put me up for the night".

I think people do get upset, but people who are religious rarely have a sense of humor. They're all just too sensitive and insecure to loosen their sphincters for even a second! It's all that indoctrination about being pious and perfect. Talk about BORING!

Well there are those who bi!@h if their ice cream is cold, so I would have to answer yes...personally I think that God HAS to have a sense of humor. After all He created us and the Bible says that the JOY of the Lord is our strength.

All the time! I have found that people that are easily offended are often very guarded (in this case their view of God) about certain things and they do not open themselves up to a wider range of understanding.

Yes.
It always depends on whose sacred cow you are slaughtering. It's the nature of humor.
