It sounds like she got bloated. I don't think she would become fat overnight! If you are worried take her to the vet and make sure there is nothing wrong with her. I highly doubt she would become fat that quickly.

I don't know what that med is that you gave her, but getting a sudden bloated tummy, isn't a good thing.. Alot of food one day would not give her a sudden fat tummy.. Most likely it's fluid (bloating) for some reason..Take her to the Vet if it lasts more than a day or two and don't wait.. Could be very serious and need medical attention. I'm sure if you took a Med and your tummy suddenly bulged out, you would head straight for a doctor. Your pet is no different, so please get her checked ASAP.. :-)

I'd ask your vet. Chihuahuas tend to get fat when they have a thyroid problem, go on medications, or even get fixed. They seem to put on weight very easily .... I'd have your check examine your chihuahua and do blood work to rule out any health issues. If there's nothing wrong then get some diet doggie food and start walking the dog.

Sometimes certain foods cause them to bloat, even treats so it may just be that.

i would be concerned,if she is gaining weight it should be all over her body not just in her tummy, definately call a vet and question them about it this doesn't sound right to me
