Why do so many people reject Him? He just wants to Love and save us! He wants to save us from eternal punishment-all we have to do is believe, and we're saved and forever loved!
And i MEAN forever! like, zillions and zillions of years! not just like 10 years, or 15... zillions!

Belief in God is faith without proof. many people cannot believe without proof.

Many people do believe in Deity but reject the revengeful god of the bible. Many people cannot fathom a God who would create us and then punish us with eternal hell for not believing. think about it, a cruel murderer who accepts Christ will go to heaven, but a good person who has spent their life helping others will go to hell simply because they did not accept Christ. This is cruel and unmerciful to many.

Many people cannot believe the bible to be from God because if you study how we got the bible it was a product of a pagan emperor calling for a counsil of bishops to decide on issues like is Jesus divine and the many things that Christians hold so sacred was decided on by mere men who were not inspired but commanded to come to decisions by a man who was not even Christian.

Many Christians hold pagan holidays dear even though the Bible says not to learn or do them. The most holy day of the year is pagan Christmas is pagan.

So as I am sure you will pick a best answer that lines up with your already held belief, this is the reason why many people reject god of the bible. You will pick an answer like because we are bound for hell or that only fools say there is no god etc.

However many of us do believe in Deity and we know religion is man made to try and explain that which cannot be explained we choose to believe in many Gods and Goddesses and work with the qualities of a particular Deity that they are attracted to.

Really, I think most people only reject the fictional Gods. People reject ideas that they're going to be roasted in hell for zillions and zillions of years because it just simply does not make any sense whatsoever. That's a mighty long time for less than a century of sinfulness. The whole notion is simply asinine. The real God, if there is one, has nothing to do with the religious figures anyone knows as God. I'm willing to bet that there would be a lot fewer people claiming to be atheists if there were no ridiculous gods of this kind to have to reject. If there were a more credible image of God to believe in, a lot more people might accept it. Perhaps in their disgust at this kind of bullcrap, they are too quick to reject the notion of any god whatsoever.

The reason I reject Him/Her/It is because logically the concept of a higher being does not make sense to me. I do not believe in magic. If heaven exists, isnt it convienent that you can only go there when you die? God can never be seen? Woman was made from Adam's rib? Noah gathered up all the species of animals and put them on his ark? I just think that these things do not make any sense at all. If you believe in God, fine. But dont believe blindly just because someone tells you that God exists. You once were brainwashed to believe that Santa existed because everyone followed the same lie, once someone let you know that Santa was imaginary you were probably able to see all of the flaws. That is how I feel about God.

The answer to your question is simple: Jesus said of man's condemnation, "...that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." (John 3:19).

You can see it in children. They would rather "hide" then face reprove for their deeds. They do them secretly and when caught, they must be compelled to say three simple words: 'I am sorry.'

To trust in God (the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob), to have FAITH in Him is described by the Son of God Himself in Matthew 7:13-14. He said "...straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads to LIFE, and FEW there be that find it."

All through the scriptures is this lesson taught. Noah preached 120 years while building the ark. But in the end, only 8 persons and two of every kind of animal entered the ark that was built large enough for those who would believe.

In Matthew 22:14, Jesus said "For many are called, but few are chosen."

In a world with millions that declare themselves "Christians" today, Jesus told his disciples in Matthew 9:37 that "...the harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are FEW..."

Man loves DARKNESS rather than LIGHT. God is that LIGHT, and IN Him is no darkness at all.

I don't think a lot of people reject God - they just may not believe in your God, which is not the same thing. Everyone who believes has a different idea about what God is and what he/she/it wants. Its all a matter of perspective. I myself do not believe there is such a thing as eternal punishment - that is something made up by religionists to scare us into joining them. I do not see why God would punish us for any reason as punishment (and judgment) is a human thing, and God, if he/she/it does exist, is not human.

I don't think many people reject God, I think they reject the people who are preaching to them. Like for instance, many people believe that Jesus is God. Many people see him as a different entity separate from God. I also think that it is they way someone is introduced to the idea of salvation. Some very religious people can turn you off to new ideas, its all about the approach.

You reject thousands of gods - why is that?

The only one you think is real is the one your parents told you was real. Coincidence?

Nobody can prove any gods, much less a specific god, exist. People believe in specific gods because of indoctrination from an early age, tradition, hallucinations, fear of torture (for gods sadistic enough to threaten it) and other similarly illogical reasons. But no gods exist in reality; these are all stories, created for people who were scared of the world long before we understood it. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions.

Before I can get to all of that love and saving, I need proof that God exists, and that has yet to be provided, so I reject Theism.

Sorry. I don't reject God. I reject the duality of a loving God torturing it's beloved for eternity.

Well we prefer to think.

You have to believe a fictional character is an Almighty God,
without any evidence of existence of this character outside of fictional books.

We just prefer our reality, and left make believe with Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy.
