This is a serious question, so if you want to make jokes I"m just going to ignore you. I am a christian. I have heard some compelling stories about ufo's. If they do exist, I'm pretty sure they're demonic in nature. What do other christians think about them?

To answer your question, I believe in Jesus Christ. And Jesus would never allow beings to take humans and do experiments with them. I'm not saying UFO's are real, but if they are, I don't believe they come from Jesus.

If you're so offended by christianity perhaps you shouldn't be answering this question!

Aliens do not exist. Satan's demons (fallen angels) are the actual spirit beings who are mistaken for the "aliens". They cannot enter our atmosphere as spirit beings such as the angel's of God can. They can influence and provoke the nature of humans from the spiritual realm of which they exist. Inter-dimensional travel in a celestial craft is they only way they can exist in the physical realm. God does not give Satan the power to harm humans, but He does give Satan the power to influence humans according to His purpose and His Glory. This is why our free-will, which is a gift from God, gives us the power to choose and to seek God's righteousness, exposing the deception of Satan and his fallen angels.
God is in the process of creating His own family. He will give humans eternal life, which we will share with Him for eternity. He desires to share His eternal existence with others in a way of life of love toward others. Because of His love, God brought the universe into existence in the first place. It is because of God's love that He gave us a part in it. Life is the result of God's love and His desire to share His love with His immortal family for eternity.

For reasons unknown to mortal human beings at this time, those who report of "missing time and missing memory" through alien abduction and experimentation, return safely to earth unscathed. Bewildered yes, but nonetheless unscathed. Satan will do anything to take our attention off the true meaning of our existence, to be "reborn" into perfect spiritual beings such as God. This explains the many "alien" sightings and abductions that are reported all over the world each year.

We have all sorts of scientific evidence best explained by the God hypothesis. For example, we know the universe began at a given point in time, about 13 billion years ago. Since everything that begins to exist must have a cause, then the universe must have a cause, and that cannot be within the physical laws of the universe. That leaves a personal cause, God, the creator of heaven and earth. Concerning Jesus, we have excellent historical evidence about his life, death, and resurrection, including non-Christian sources. Concerning UFO's, we have many sightings, but they can invariably be explained by natural events. For example, the planet Venus is often reported as a UFO. Venus has definitely been "identified." In addition, the SETI project has trained radiotelescopes on the galaxy for decades. We have yet to receive any nonrandom signal. There is also good evidence we are a "privileged planet," orbiting at just the right distance from just the right kind of star, located at just the right place in just the right kind of galaxy. You might be interested in watching the trailer I've linked to a documentary that shows how vastly improbable conditions are for producing a planet so fortunate. It is additional strong evidence for intelligent design, and against any other intelligent life in the universe. Cheers, Bruce

That's rather judgmental of you, don't you think?

Given that God is infinite you gotta admit; an infinite Being has lots and lots of room in which to create stuff. And that would include the creation of other sapient beings on other worlds.

Given that God is eternal you gotta admit, an eternal Being has probably been creating for a lot longer than we've been around and that inevitably some of those creations are therefore gonna be a lot older and more technologically advanced than we are. So flitting about the galaxy in some form of transportaion might not be impossible for them as it currently is for us.

Given that God gave man a choice, to serve Him or to serve himself, it's logical to postulate that other sapient beings were given the same options and statistically at least some of them opted to serve Him and are therefore better beings than we are and so could hardly be termed "demonic".

The Laws of Physics should be the deciding factor in accepting or rejecting the concept of UFO's. The Laws of Physics only say that nothing in this universe can travel faster than the speed of light, making standard modes of transportation from star to star impossibly lengthy journeys. BUT, those Laws don't say diddly squat about travel OUTSIDE this universe and as any geometrician will tell you there's an infinite number of universes. There may well be some for which speed-of-light is the lowest speed and there may well be a means whereby a vehicle could be slipped into said universe, zippity-doo-dah its way and pop back into ours thousand of light years away from its point of origin after a few minutes of this universe's timeframe. Therefore UFO's cannot at this time be ruled out, nor can they be authenticated scientifically by our knowledge and technological skills.

BTW, I'm a theologian (Th.D in Comparative and another in Dogmatic), an anthropologist (Ph.D in Near-Eastern archaeology), a vertebrate paleontologist (rise of the dinosaurs thru the early Triassic) (M.S., working on the Ph.D.), an amateur astronomer and a Catholic.

I live dead center of UFO country.
It's really good for the tourism.

What really put us on the map is when the gov. would not release the docs under the freedom of information act, on the 1947 crash that occurred near here.

Gota go help her with something BRB

I'm back!

Anyway, I really believe we are the first of God's physical, thinking creatures.
After things are back in order and the ordeal with wickedness is over, God will continue to create.
He may put other thinking creatures along with us here on earth, or he may fashion other planet homes for them.

I believe what goes on with the UFO frenzy is just another one of Satan's tactics to keep humans from the Bible.

As I said, I live dead center of UFO country.
Yet, I have never been in the UFO Research Center, that is the heart and mainstream of tourism here.

Just like dinosaurs and evolution, UFOs DO NOT DISPROVE GOD!!! Where does it say in the Bible that the Universe is only for US HUMANS? It doesn't. It says plenty of what God DID do, but it never says that he DIDN'T make other life forms or planets that support life.

Why would UFOs be demonic, anyway? Isn't that equivalent to saying that computers are demonic? If that's the case, well...I think you know where I'm going with this.

I believe UFO's are demonic also. Those that can't see the connection aren't believers of Christ anyway.

I am inclined to agree with you. I think some sightings/experiences of individuals cannot be explained away. This leaves one to either conclude these incidents are authentic or can be explained by other means. The only remaining possibility that I can see is either they are man made, possibly an advanced technology that has been developed and kept under wraps; or else they are spiritual deceptions, the work of Satan and his agents. The Bible says Satan himself can appear as an angel of light. It's not hard to believe he might employ some other disguise.

Since everyone else already beat me to your claim that UFO's must be demonic, I will ask you about something else that you might want to reconsider. You said that God would never allow a being to experiment with a human. Humans do torture experiments with other humans, but your God does nothing to stop them.

if there so demonic why aren't we rubble? they're probably are out there but we're just not that worth their while to bother with. or maybe they have a law about interfering with other cultures like star trek's prime directive. lot of people think Elijah went up in a UFO. the program Mysteries of the Bible did a whole episode on UFO's and the bible. peace!

Why the hell would they be demonic!? If people from another world exist, are you accusing their society of being demonic? I am not christian, I do believe there are other worlds, and I don't believe they are demonic. I believe that they have their own set of religions, and The God And Goddess(or whatever you believe) has showed themselves to them in another way. Maybe in the same way. Who knows? I definately don't believe UFO's are evil..
