And sadly I have to qualify this by saying that these are just pecks on the lips and nothing more. But does it make you uncomfortable.

I give my daughter kisses on the lips all the time, but someone commented that it was inappropriate. She's four, she loves her mommy, I think it's sweet.

Ugh

That individual is one of the many pathetic adults who are incapable of affection -- something that is good and necessary for children -- because they oversexualize everything.

Kiss your babies on the lips as much as you/they want. All too soon, it'll be too uncool to kiss Momma and Daddy.

It only gets creepy when the kid clearly doesn't want it, trying to lean away, and the parent either insists or does not get the hint. My FIL does this... with me and his other daughter-in-law, who dislikes him as much as I do, so that's creepy, too.

I kiss my children on the lips too but not all the time. I do not think that there is anything wrong with that however, if it is being done in a molesting kind of way then this is when it can become a problem. Also, if a parent has a cold sore I think that it is not right to kiss a child on the lips.

I think it bothers idiots that try and turn everything sexual. There is nothing wrong with kissing a child like that, I love to see a parent being affectionate with a child. It's the same people that get disgusted when they see a woman breastfeeding a baby in public. She's feeding her baby with those breasts, not dancing around a pole in front of you. I don't know why people get so offended about things normal parents do with their children, they obviously were raised without affection from their own parents.

I kiss my 3 year old on the lips all the time and even in public it does not make me feel uncomfortable, it just shows how much love I have for my kids. And I love my kids with all my heart.

I am 35 years old and still kiss my mother on the lips, there is no greater love than a mother and her child, don't ever question the way you show your child love, and don't worry about what other people think, she's YOUR CHILD kiss her as much as you want.

My daughter still loves giving and receiving a peck on the lips all the time! There's nothing wrong with that. In fact, its really sad that people even have to ask.

You have raised that child and love them with all your heart...feel nothing is wrong with a peck or a long smooch...love my kids and the day never goes without a kiss, peck or mushy smooch to their cheek, lip or forhead to start their day.....I LOVE MY BOYS...for pete sakes why not show them.

i think that its fine, but i do constantly have to defend myself with some friends as they think its a bit inappropriate, i dont have kids of my own but my nieces I'm fine with pecking on the lips, & so is my sister(their mother). i think its perfectly fine and as long as its just a peck then you have nothing to worry about! (my nieces are like my own children though, love them to bits)

seriously some people just think the wrong thing! were not trying to make out with our loved ones, is just one of our ways to show them that we love and care for them!!!!

Wow, I can't believe it could make anyone uncomfortable. I kiss all my kiddos on the lips, even my 11yo daughter....it never even crossed my mind that anyone would feel weird about that or that anyone would think anything of it.
Thanks for openeing my eyes though...good question.
