You can lose water weight fast, but once you start rehydrating yourself you'll put the weight on...anyway since this is just a quick fix for an occasion i'll help you out.
Tip 1.
Do 45 mins cardio(jogging, walking, cycling) first thing in the morning on a empty stomach, training on a empty stomach will force your body to use muscle mass and fat for fuel, this will result in a smaller body and less body fat.
Tip 2.
Consume all your carbs (pasta, rice, potatoes, bread, fruits) before lunch, and eat only protein and veg afterwards. Having your carbs early on in the day will give you enough energy to get through the day, and prevent you from putting on weight because your metabolism slows down as the afternoon and evening come.
Tip 3.
Reduce your water intake, since our bodies is mainly 70% water, dehydrating will cause the body to lose size, I wouldn't normally advise this because it's not the healthiest way to lose weight, and soon as you start drinking water you'll put the weight back on (but you did say its only for a special occasion)
Tip 4.
Eat 5-6 small meals a day to speed up your metabolism, this tells your body to start burning calories fast, because your body knows it will be getting food every 3 hours, creating this routine is very effective.
Tip 5.
use a weight loss supplement like lean system 7, caffeine or Tight by San, this will help your body burn a extra 25-50 calories a day.
I hope this helps

No one is going to lose any significant weight in 3 days, and fast weight loss usually means faster weight gain anyway, with 2 in 3 of this type of ' dieter ' likely to end up heavier.
The only way anyone is likely to sustain weight loss is to increase their energy expenditure. Go to the gym do 30-40 minutes of vigorous exercise ( this does not include the bit when you lean on the machine and talk!) 5 days a week and in a few months you will really begin to see the difference.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

Uh, if you're doing this solely to lose weight (not religious reasons), this is kind of unhealthy. Your body will know you are trying to starve yourself, and will hold tightly onto calories and fat, making it harder to lose than if you ate. Plus, you are going to be in torture when you do this, and I personally don't think you are physically capable of handling so long a fast without being in pain. But if you are, I guess I can't stop you. Don't be surprised if you don't lose anything! Seriously, I would not do this for the sole purpose of losing weight.

The best way is a very old diet called the (Stewardess Diet) for 3 days. You eat grapefruit for breakfast, no sugar, the rest of your meals is boiled eggs, green beans and drink lo-sodium chicken broth. For dinner you can have 1 low fat grilled burger (no bread) with your green beans. Drink a ton of water. Put lemon or lime in water. No diet sodas. Do this for 3 days and you will probably lose about 10lbs. (depending on how much you need to lose). Good luck.

Well we all know not eating is super unhealthy and in the long run it shows obvious in the stomach. I'm not going to suggest that because that would be highly stupid.
I recommend eating smaller portions when you eat. Something smaller and healthier then normal junk, in less of a quanity. Then you could eat it various times during the day because you've eaten less then you have, but don't go hungry. Try to curve hunger by doing whatever. Me, personally, if I'm out and I can't get food right away or whatever, to curve hunger I chew gum because it occupies your mind. But, smaller portions is what I recommend. Good luck!

Well, you could detox - cut out wheat, salt, etc., and eat pure salads and fruit, maybe with some lean meat or fish (steamed). I've heard the stars like a detox the day before a big event, it cuts out bloating and water retention.
You can't do a radical, permanent weight loss in 3 days...

there's this thing called the kim protasov diet (you can find it if you google it) andd what you have to do for the first two weeks is only eat vegetables and yogurts / dairy products. you're also allowed three apples a day and one egg. i got pretty fast results from it. i exercised, too, though so don't forget that. you can google it and find out what you have to do the other two weeks. you don't even have to do it for five weeks.
another thing i know is fasting for a day where you only drink water to cleanse your system.
and there's another thing where you mix water and lemon juice with GRADE B maple syrup and drink like 8 glasses a day. apparently, this is a cleansing system too.
ps. don't know how healthy any of these are and i personally don't recommend them. but if you gotta do it, they're pretty okay.
