hey, my big brother is the nightshift manager for grocery at a sainsburys, and by the looks of him pretty hard work, constant lifing and bending and it will take its toll on you. The cages will be very heavy to lift and constant packing onto the shelves, it isnt really easy money and something like a checkout operator is much much more simple and VERY easy money, plus night shift isnt all it is cracked up to be, very draining and you NEVER get your sleep patterns back. - trust me - pick cashier.

i havent done the nightshift but i have worked in a supermarket during normal hours. SUpermarket jobs suck as a rule but I'd say its gotta be better when there are no customers around whining in your ears and asking where the salad cream is lol.

Just be careful. The constant bending and lifting will hurt your back if you don't do it correctly.
Also, get some good shoes. The concrete floor will hurt your feet and back as well.
