A true feral, one born wild, has never been touched by people, doesn't want to be in sight of people, runs when you make eye contact, and you can not coax it closer no matter how you try. They consider humans to be life threatening and act accordingly, doing their best to stay away and not be seen.

When he is eating the neighborhood cats....or when he jumps on your face and gouges your eyes out....There isnt a way to tell by just looking, it is more in the behaivor.
