I am coming to live up in that part of the world and like a good social life, pubs, clubs, live bands etc. Can anyone tell me the best places to go to.

My brother in law and husband worked in Karratha and Dampier and had a great nightlife as far as I can tell. Dampier has one pub and Karratha has more than one. There are live bands sometimes. As they are mining towns, they put on a lot of bands and entertainment to keep the boys happy. I am sure once you are there, you will find the best places to go. The towns aren't that big that you'd get lost...so you'll be fine.

Karratha is a small remote mining town. It does have a pub, it might have two. I would expect that the social life of both Dampier and Karratha will be what you make it. It would not be a good place to be teetotal.

Well if you are chick the chances of meeting guys are good because of all the mines. The downside is most of these guys are after one thing only so if you are not an easy girl it might not be the scene for you.
