I would guess that you should scrape as much of the excess off as possible and then clean it with a carpet/upholstery cleaner. But just to be safe, you may want to consult the manufacture's website and/or customer service hotline, so you don't clean it with a chemical that it would react to, and ruin your furniture. Good luck with that. If you ever need to know how to get ketchup and chocolate sauce out of the carpet, let me know. ;)
