I recently asked out a colleague who had been giving me all the signs of being interested in me and basically she made me feel like a complete idiot for even thinking of such a thing.Now I feel like I will never be able to tell the difference ever again and may pass up a genuine opportunity for a bit of joy in my life(which i am sorely lacking)I don't want to give up on having a relationship but i'm starting to think I will have to remain single just to avoid looking like a t**t

Don't let this one bad experience stop you from asking out another woman. I'm sure you were reading the signals correctly but that she was playing games with you, try again with somebody else and you'll have more success. Your confidence has taken a bit of a knock and its like falling off a bike - you need to get back on straight away. Don't pass up on the next opportunity that comes your way - go out there and get the bit of joy that you're lacking in your life. Good luck.

some are ladies some are just called ladies.
in some ways she may have made you look 'bad'
in others it jsut highlights that you had guts and she is a throughly distasteful person who wasnt worth your efforts - glad you found out before you spent any serious time being/chasing after her?
I would be. its not you that should feel insulted - its her. she just showed a load of insecurities and a loathing - you didnt, syou showed that when oyu make yourself susptible to being knocked you coud be. thats done now tho.
learn some quick retorts, or how to - it'll stop you feeling so dejected and spin the rubbish back (take 'nice' ones tho). dont let em make you feel like rubbish, goive that gift back, its not yours to keep.

The reason you are not successful at starting relationships is because you are putting your own needs first- this is also why you are obsessing so much about being rejected. If you are genuinely a person a woman wants to have a relationship with she will agree to a date even if you are overweight, bald or disabled. Change your attitude and you will change the outcome.

Mate, take risks, you will on certain occasions look like an idiot(we have all been there) , but you've still got to try...believe me, it's worth it eventually when you meet the right person.
