If anyone has gotten their passport in the last month, can you tell me how long it took from the time you sent it in? Thanks!

Traditional methods for passport acquisition are taking some Americans as long as 6 months to get their passport. That is typically the extreme, but three months is no long uncommon. I was able to get mine in two weeks. Expedited sites cost a little more, but they work great. Try one of these sites:

Good Luck!

I got mine in Nov. I think they're quite backlogged now, from what I heard. My friends were going to Mexico for a vacation and almost had to cancel because they did not get one of their children's back until the day before the scheduled vacation. It took about 10 weeks.

If you're worried about the time, pay the extra for the expedited passport. I paid for the expedited and had it within ten days, I think. It's about 60 bucks more, if I remember correctly. I think the peace of mind was worth it.
