Strange, I know, but when I look at the horizon, I remember something a college professor told me. He told me that centuries ago, when Europeans were headed on their ships toward the shores of South America, the native Americans in those lands were on the shores. Because they did not have a concept of the Earth being round and perspective and all, they were unable to see the ships coming up over the water until they were in full view. Was this a line of bull or what?

When I get the chance to look at a horizon (too many trees and buildings around here for me to see one), I always think about that no matter how much or how fast I move towards it, it never gets any closer.

When anybody gazes at a horizon he/she should be thinking about what lies behind him/her. One can't be too cautious.
