maybe you should try finding out WHY your kitten prefers adult food..different flavour maybe?
l am sure that the food will not harm your kitten, but maybe you could mix them together
kitten food has a different protein level and is designed to optimise growth and nutritional needs
you could ask your vet for a supplement if you are worried but if your kitten looks ok is still growing and putting on weight l am sure it will be fine

Granted...it won't hurt her to eat a little bit of your adult cat's food, but she does need to be on the kitten food. It contains the right amount of protein and other nutrients that she needs for being a growing cat. Not feeding her correctly could result in problems later in life and also problems with growth and bone development.

Well, Jessy- It's not ideal. But as you know, it's better than nothing.
I had to do the same thing when I found myself suddenly with a new kitten when I already had an older cat. Just watch her health: She'll probably be fine.

Kittens should be eating adult cat food once they turn 1 year of age. I had asked purina about this when my cay was changing foods.

No you are not doing anything wrong - she has to decide what she wants to eat. You may want to mix with a very bland cereal and a little water just to make sure the food is not too rich for her, but I have a home with 4 cats of varying ages and special diets and as our vet says - you can only do your best.

If she likes it it should be ok, but maybe advise to mix it in with kitten food if you can as it will have special nutriants - i take it that she is eating meat and not biscuits- if its biscuits prob better with kitten food as adult biscuits are too big for her to chew and may choak.

the adult food wont have enough protein and fat in it for brain development...
typically low quality foods (any from grocery store or Wal Mart) are low already so its really important to feed correctly...
